Heading further north through the historic heart of Perak state. The seventh stage leaves Teluk Intan and soon crosses the wide expanse of the Perak River. The track navigates flat, low-traffic country roads, cutting through heritage rubber plantations and quiet traditional villages. Local roadside stalls offer an ideal excuse to stop and sample fresh tropical fruits.
As the destination approaches, the dramatic forested peaks of the main mountain ridge rise up on the horizon. The route concludes in the heritage town of Taiping. This historic township welcomes cyclists with its famous, tranquil Lake Gardens, where ancient rain trees majestically arch their massive branches over the water. A smooth, highly efficient ride steeped in natural history.
