Leaving Buckow, Day 2 stops being a gentle warm-up. It runs north for about 124 km, out of the Märkische Schweiz and into the open Oderbruch, where the road is flat, exposed and made for steady pacing. Around Wriezen the ride passes old avenues, drainage channels and quiet villages before the Oder comes closer. Near Schwedt, the Lower Oder Valley takes over: dikes, floodplains, reed beds and a lot of sky. After Gartz the border is never far. The final stretch slips into Poland and finishes in urban Szczecin.
