Day two is the long cut into Poland. After Fürstenwalde, the route runs east on flat ground, through the Berkenbrück and Briesen corridor towards Frankfurt (Oder). Plenty of forest, the railway never far away, not much drama – exactly the kind of rhythm 125 kilometres need. In Frankfurt, the route crosses the Oder; after that, Słubice feels like a real border change, not a viewpoint: different signs, different road edges, a different language. Past Rzepin and Ośno Lubuskie, the road gets hillier. Sulęcin is the last clear marker before Międzyrzecz.
