Day 7 changes direction halfway through the sentence. Out of Linz, it feels almost playful at first: plenty of river proximity, easy speed, low elevation, villages and floodplain scenery that make the stage seem light. For a long time, it rides like a relaxed Danube day. Then the profile turns. In the final third, the route starts climbing in steps, stacking elevation and demanding more focus. There is no single grand pass, but rather a long, uneven ascent with several ramps and one noticeably sharper kick near the high point. Up there, the views open, the legs get heavier and the whole mood of the day shifts. That is what makes this stage interesting: riverside glide first, then a completely different rhythm.
