The route tracks straight north today along the Estrada Atlântica, Portugal's longest continuous bike path. Smooth red tarmac keeps the cycling safe and entirely separated from traffic, carving directly through the historic Pinhal de Leiria coastal pine woods. Early in the day, the scenic seaside village of São Pedro de Moel appears, marked by the imposing Penedo da Saudade lighthouse. A quick break on the rugged cliffs offers a direct view of the crashing Atlantic surf. From there, the terrain levels out completely, tracking past the sweeping sand dunes of Praia da Vieira and Praia do Pedrógão. Crossing the wide Mondego River bridge brings the stage to a close in the port city of Figueira da Foz, a classic hub for regional surf culture.
