From roaring natural wonders to the relaxed backcountry of New York State. Starting right at the edge of Niagara Falls, the route heads downstream along the Niagara River Greenway toward North Tonawanda, where the Erie Canal begins. From here, the scenery shifts as urban paths give way to quiet country roads and shaded rail trails.
Passing through quiet Akron, the flat terrain glides past rolling farmlands heading east toward Pembroke. Portions of the track skirt the edge of the pristine Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge. The day concludes in the historic hub of Batavia. A smooth, straightforward introduction to the region's rural charm.
