The barren limestone expanse of Pag Island defines the fifth stage as the track rolls south. The tarmac traverses a treeless terrain, passing the ancient salt pans near Pag town and cutting through areas shaped by old dry-stone walls.
The technical highlight arrives at the southern tip, where the route crosses the high concrete arch of the Pag Bridge to reach the mainland. From here, the topography turns into a sequence of punchy climbs through the rugged scrubland of the Ravni Kotari hinterland. A steady descent brings a smooth rollout into the coastal city of Zadar, finishing near the ancient Roman forum.
