The final day has work to do from the first valley. From Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, the route climbs through the western Vosges to the Col d’Urbeis, the highest point of this roughly 99 km stage. Then it drops into the Val de Villé, past forest, villages and open views towards Alsace. Near Sélestat the road flattens, the Rhine draws closer, and Germany follows soon after. The Kaiserstuhl adds the last texture: vineyards, short rises, warm slopes. Freiburg closes the ride with city streets at the foot of the Black Forest.
