An inland detour opens the final stage as the route leaves Šibenik, heading inland to tackle the rugged hills of the Dalmatian hinterland. A steady climb pulls up to a high pass over 400 metres, navigating a stark karst landscape of dry shrubs and old stone walls.
A fast descent sweeps from the hills, dropping back to sea level right at the gates of the UNESCO-listed island town of Trogir. From here, the terrain flattens into a coastal spin along the Kaštela Riviera. The journey reaches its absolute conclusion as the track rolls into Split, finishing directly beside the ancient Roman walls of Diocletian's Palace.
