Leaving Strasbourg, the final day stretches south through the sunny Rhine valley. Fast, flat kilometres on smooth paths dominate the morning, rolling past quiet waterways and Alsatian hamlets.
Crossing the Rhine into Germany, the route tackles the striking, volcanic vineyard hills of the Kaiserstuhl. A short, punchy climb up to 401 metres rewards riders with wide views of both the Black Forest and the Vosges.
A fast descent sweeps down toward the destination. The track finishes smoothly in the eco-city of Freiburg, rolling past iconic Bächle channels to conclude the journey right at the cathedral gates.
