from Phoenix

to El Paso
E-Bike: 4h 08 / day
Bike: 5h 29 / day

This Phoenix to El Paso bike tour runs through Arizona, New Mexico and Texas in ten stages. It starts in the Phoenix Valley, passes Mesa and Apache Junction, rides below the Superstition Mountains to Superior and continues through copper towns such as Globe and Miami. From there, the route follows the Gila Valley toward Safford, Duncan and Lordsburg. In New Mexico, the ride gains height: first across the Burro Mountains to Silver City, then across the Black Range and the Emory Pass area to Kingston. After that, the route drops to Hatch and follows the Rio Grande valley via Las Cruces and Anthony into El Paso. A tour with desert, long distances, mountain passes, small towns and little room for poor planning. Create an account to see all stages, maps, GPX files and route details.
