This stage is short, but the names carry real weight. From Beaune, the route heads north through the Côte d’Or, passing vineyards, dry-stone walls and wine villages such as Aloxe-Corton, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée. Around Vougeot, Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin, Grand Cru sites sit directly beside the road. The climbing stays moderate, with views shifting between vine rows and limestone slopes. After Marsannay, Dijon comes closer. The day ends with the old town, the Palais des Ducs and a clear change from vineyard roads to city streets.
