The final day cuts right across the Black Forest. After Dunningen, small roads lead towards Schramberg and St. Georgen, with fir forests, high plateaus and steady rolling terrain. Around the heights near Furtwangen, the route feels at its quietest: open meadows, dark woodland and cooler air. Then the profile tips clearly downhill. Via Simonswald and the Elz valley, the route runs for a long descent towards Denzlingen. The last kilometres open into the Freiburg basin, with vineyards, city views and the Black Forest behind.
