Rolling out from the cobblestone alleys of Freiburg, the journey opens with a massive challenge. The track cuts straight into the deep green folds of the High Black Forest, climbing steadily past Kirchzarten into a rugged world of dense pine woods. Pushing hard up to a peak of 1,175 metres near the Feldberg massif, the crisp mountain air dominates the ridge line.
A fast, sweeping descent flies past the pristine shores of Lake Schluchsee and drops through quiet granite valleys toward the High Rhine. Crossing the river border into Switzerland, the terrain shifts to the undulating agricultural ridges of the Swiss Mittelland. The final leg flows smoothly along the Limmat River, delivering riders directly into the vibrant urban energy of Zurich's waterfront.
