From Girona, the final stage runs for around 100 kilometres to Barcelona. Instead of the coast, the Catalan hinterland takes the lead: fields, small towns, dry hills and recurring views towards Montseny. The route uses quiet links and river corridors, staying surprisingly direct as it rolls through the Vallès towards the city. Later, the landscape becomes more urban. Along the Besòs, the outskirts take over before Barcelona brings the journey to a close with broad avenues, dense energy and Mediterranean light.
