Komárno gives the final day a proper starting point: Danube, border town and fortress history rather than a neutral roadside departure. The route first continues on the Hungarian side of the river, passing Komárom, flat riverside sections, small settlements and the low slopes near the Gerecse area. Towards Esztergom, the Danube setting becomes more defined. The basilica stands high above the river and forms the strongest cultural marker of the stage. After that, the route leaves the pure river line and turns into the Pilis hills. Woodland, small villages and short climbs replace the long flat stretches of the previous days. The final approach enters Budapest from the west, with the Buda hills behind the route and the Danube returning as the main reference point near the finish.
