The final stage is shorter, but not simply a roll-in. After La Côte-Saint-André, the route crosses the open Bièvre and Liers countryside, passing fields, farms and small villages on the edge of Isère. Rolling roads then lead via Saint-Jean-de-Bournay towards the Lyon basin. The landscape gradually tightens: industrial zones, suburbs, cycle paths and city traffic. From the eastern side, the route enters Lyon, where the Rhône, the Saône and the steep slopes above the old town mark the finish.
