Unbesandten soon falls behind the dyke, meadows and small rural roads. The stage first stays in the Lenzerwische, the flat country between the Elbe and the Elde, then turns north-east into the Prignitz. Beyond Breetz and the villages at the edge of the Elbe floodplain, the route becomes quieter: fields, tree lines, woodland sections and old village centres set the tone. Around Rambow and Mellen, the Rambower Moor lies close to the route, with its lake, wet meadows and wide views across one of the region’s most distinctive natural areas. From there, the terrain becomes gently rolling. The final kilometres lead towards the Stepenitz. Perleberg closes the day with its old-town island, town houses, St James’s Church and Roland statue.
