Canyamel begins by the sea, but the route turns inland almost immediately. Small roads lead to Artà, passing dry-stone walls, almond trees, pines and the Serra de Llevant behind you. After that, the day opens up and flattens out. The road runs west towards Son Serra de Marina and on to the Bay of Alcúdia. Around Can Picafort and Platja de Muro, cycle paths, beach access, hotels and the nearby Albufera shape the ride. The final kilometres lead into Alcúdia, ending with town walls, narrow streets and a strong dose of history.
