Today belongs to the Tramuntana. From Alcúdia, the route first runs flat along the bay towards Pollença. After that, the real stage begins: small roads, dry-stone walls, pines and the long climb over Coll de Femenia to Lluc. Beyond the monastery, the road stays high. Gorg Blau, Cúber and the rock faces below Puig Major shape the middle part of the day. After the high point comes the long descent into the Sóller valley: switchbacks, olive groves, orange trees and mountain-village scenery all the way to the finish.
