From Mindszent, the Tisza stays close for the first part of the day. At Mártély, the old backwater sits just off the route; the nature trail leads through floodplain forest and over a short boardwalk to the water. The road then turns towards Hódmezővásárhely, a Great Plain town with space, low streets and a strong pottery tradition. After the city, the riding becomes stripped back: straight roads, fields, farmsteads, drainage channels. Makó adds a proper town stop before the border. Known for its onion, the Maros-side town is also home to the Hagymatikum thermal bath and several buildings linked to architect Imre Makovecz. From Apátfalva, the line points towards Romania. Cenad is a quiet finish on the Mureș/Maros.
