The final day starts high above the Andarax Valley. From Ohanes, the route drops quickly at first, then rolls through the Alpujarra Almeriense around Almócita on quiet, uneven roads. The numbers are clear: 64.6 kilometres, roughly 800 metres of climbing and almost 1,750 metres of descending. The first part passes terraces, dry slopes and small villages on the southern edge of the Sierra Nevada. Later, the route turns towards the Sierra de Gádor and climbs once more to just over 1,000 metres. From the high ground, Almería appears first as plain, coast and hard light rather than as a city. The long descent brings back heat, traffic and the sea. The finish is fittingly practical: Mercado Central, right in the middle of Almería.
