The day starts in Victoria and first crosses Gozo before returning to Malta. After leaving the island’s central plateau, the route reaches the north coast around Xwejni and Marsalforn. Rock bays, salt pans, short ramps and dry hillsides shape this section; the sea stays close, but the road is rarely completely flat. From there, the route turns southeast toward the ferry port at Mġarr. The crossing to Ċirkewwa creates a clear break in the day. Back on Malta, the ride continues through Mellieħa and toward the St Paul’s Bay area before traffic and buildings become more present. The final part runs through the busier north and east of the island into Valletta. Compared with Gozo, the contrast is clear: less quiet, more city, and finally the fortress walls and harbour basins of the capital.
