Day 2 leaves Santiago with one last glance at its rooftops, then slips into green calm: woodland lanes, granite villages, hórreos and small chapels carry the ride south. A short early climb out of town, about 2 km and properly noticeable, warms the legs before the road drops towards Padrón and the river valley. After that, the day rolls gently past fields and vines. Beyond Caldas de Reis, the main sting arrives: a steady 4 km climb, shaded and rhythmic, followed by a fast, flowing descent into Pontevedra.
