The loop around Cap Corse starts in Bastia and first follows the east coast north. The opening kilometres pass the seaside suburbs before the route continues through Erbalunga, Sisco and Pietracorbara toward Macinaggio. The Tyrrhenian Sea is often on the right, while the hills rise quickly on the left; the road stays narrow, rolling and close to the bays. After Macinaggio, the route crosses to the other side of the cape. The section above Centuri brings the first real ramps and wide views across Corsica’s rugged northern tip. The west coast then takes over, with Pino and Nonza: dark cliffs, tight bends and little space between slope and sea. The final part climbs through Patrimonio and over the Col de Teghime before dropping back into Bastia.
