Day two leaves Bastia quickly behind. After the first kilometres through Furiani and Biguglia, the route turns away from the sea and climbs into the mountains behind the coastal plain. Via Murato, the road rises to the Col de Bigorno, a long, serious climb with open ground, rock, maquis and views back toward the east coast. The descent then leads toward the Golo valley. Around Ponte-Novu and Ponte-Leccia, the stage becomes quieter, but not flat: valley roads, bridges, small towns and repeated short climbs keep the pace uneven. Further south, the route continues inland toward Francardo and Corte. The finish is not just a roll-in. The GPX still adds more elevation before Corte’s old town and the mountains of central Corsica close the day.
