The track rolls clear of Seville's busy avenues to tail the broad Guadalquivir River southward. Flat, fast miles unroll through the agricultural plains of the Marismas, where endless fields map out a geometric landscape. Further south, the undulating vineyard country around Trebujena breaks the monotony of the flats, introducing white albariza chalk soils and rolling green ridges.
Quiet secondary roads guide the bikes toward Sanlúcar de Barrameda, the coastal home of Manzanilla sherry. Pausing at the river mouth opens up views of the Doñana wilderness on the far bank. The final kilometers run flat along the Atlantic shore into Chipiona, finishing in the shadow of its monumental lighthouse—the tallest in Spain.
