From Siracusa, the route follows Sicily’s east coast south for much of the day. After the city traffic, the riding becomes flatter, with sections through seaside settlements, small access roads and open coastal ground. Fontane Bianche, Avola and Calabernardo bring repeated views of the sea and short passages through town before the road quiets down toward Noto Marina. Further south, the route passes the Vendicari area, with low lagoons, dunes, scrubland and a noticeably different rhythm from the start. San Lorenzo, Marzamemi and Portopalo di Capo Passero follow, shaped by fishing villages, low houses and bright light over the water. The final section turns west. Via Pachino and Santa Maria del Focallo, the stage reaches Pozzallo, where the ferry port already points toward the next part of the journey to Malta.
