Rogonneur is a digital platform for cycling and outdoor travel planning that provides:
• Curated and user-generated multi-day cycling tours ("ActivitySeries") and individual route segments ("Activities")
• Free and premium content, including maps, GPX files, and planning information
• User accounts with personalization, tracking, and integrations (e.g., Strava, Garmin)
• A marketplace for digital guides and related services
• Contextual recommendations, including third-party affiliate offers (e.g., accommodation, rentals, experiences)
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that:
• All information provided is accurate and complete
• You are legally capable of entering into binding agreements
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
5. Content Access and Licensing
5.1 Free vs Paid Content
The Platform offers different access levels:
• Free users: limited previews and basic features
• Registered users: extended functionality
• Paid users: full access to premium content, including GPX downloads and detailed guides
5.2 License Grant
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-commercial license to use purchased or accessed content for personal use only.
You may not:
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content
• Share paid content (including GPX files) publicly or with non-paying users
• Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data
6. Purchases, Payments, and Refunds
6.1 Products

• Individual guide purchases
• Lifetime access products
• Other digital goods and services
6.2 Payments
Payments are processed via third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). By purchasing, you agree to their terms.
6.3 Refund Policy

• Upon refund, access to purchased content may be revoked
7. Contributor Content (Future Feature)
If you submit content (e.g., routes, guides, reviews):
• You grant Rogonneur a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content
• You confirm that you own or have rights to the content
• You are responsible for its accuracy and legality
We reserve the right to review, modify, or remove content.
8. Platform Data and Accuracy Disclaimer
The Platform provides route data, maps, elevation profiles, weather, and recommendations.
We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or safety.
You acknowledge that:
• Routes may contain errors or outdated information
• Conditions (weather, road quality, traffic) may change
• You are solely responsible for your safety and decisions
9. Health and Safety Disclaimer
Cycling and outdoor activities involve inherent risks.
Rogonneur is not responsible for:
• Injuries, accidents, or damages
• Equipment failures
• Route conditions
You are responsible for:
• Assessing your physical fitness
• Using appropriate equipment
• Following local laws and regulations
10. Third-Party Services and Affiliates
The Platform includes links and integrations with third-party services, including:
• Accommodation providers
• Bike rentals
• Transport services
• Experience providers
We may receive commissions from these partners.
However:
• We do not control or guarantee third-party services
• Contracts are concluded directly between you and the third party
• We are not liable for third-party performance
11. Integrations (e.g., Strava, Garmin, Komoot)
If you connect third-party accounts:
• You authorize data exchange between services
• You remain subject to the third party's terms
We are not responsible for:
• Data accuracy from third-party integrations
• Service interruptions or API failures
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
• Use the Platform for unlawful purposes
• Interfere with system integrity or security
• Upload harmful, misleading, or infringing content
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
13. User Behaviour Tracking and Personalization
We collect and process usage data (e.g., page views, interactions, purchases) to:

4. Content & Intellectual Property
All content on Rogonneur, including texts, images, maps, and GPX files, is protected by copyright. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
• Violate these Terms
• Misuse the Platform
• Engage in fraudulent or harmful behavior
You may terminate your account at any time.
7. Limitation of Liability
Rogonneur provides cycling routes and information for guidance only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or suitability of any route. Users cycle at their own risk. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Rogonneur harmless from claims arising from:
• Your use of the Platform
• Your content
• Your violation of these Terms
18. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
• Changes will be communicated appropriately
• Continued use constitutes acceptance
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction is Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.
