The Black Forest stays close at first. After Alpirsbach, the route climbs via Reinerzau and Loßburg onto quieter high ground, with fir forest, side valleys and open views across the northern Black Forest. Then the profile tips towards the Neckar: Dornstetten, Horb and the first half-timbered façades bring more townscape and river-valley riding into the day. From Horb, the route follows the Neckar rhythm via Rottenburg to Tübingen: meadows, riverside paths, small towns and, at the end, punts, old streets and the castle above the water.
