Day three first follows the Neckar out of Tübingen. Between Kirchentellinsfurt, Neckartailfingen and Nürtingen, riverside paths, fields and small towns shape the ride, while the Swabian Alb stays as a clear edge on the horizon. Around Wendlingen and Plochingen, the route briefly becomes busier, then the Fils valley takes over via Ebersbach, Uhingen and Göppingen. Beyond Rechberghausen, it climbs towards Wäschenbeuren, with views to Hohenstaufen and the Alb escarpment, before rolling via Schwäbisch Gmünd, Heubach and Essingen to Aalen.
