Aalen marks the start on the edge of the Ostalb, before the route leaves the Kocher area on small roads. Hills, fields and woodland patches alternate quickly, while the villages grow smaller and the traffic thins out. Towards Wilburgstetten and Mönchsroth, the ride reaches the Wörnitz country, with streams, meadows and Franconian village patterns. Beyond Bechhofen, the terrain turns rolling again, before Burgoberbach and the final kilometres into Ansbach. Baroque façades, the Hofgarten and the old town close the stage.
