From Barcelona, the route first threads through the city’s urban energy towards the Llobregat, then turns steadily for the coast. Beyond Castelldefels, the day opens into its strongest section: the rocky Garraf, blue coves and wide views across the Mediterranean. Sitges adds white façades and promenade atmosphere, followed by Vilanova, Calafell and long, flat coastal kilometres. Near Tarragona, Roman traces and old city walls appear before the stage eases into Cambrils — with sea air, palms and a clear sense of the south.
