The Costa Daurada stays close at first: wide beaches, railway lines, pines and resort towns such as Miami Platja and L’Hospitalet de l’Infant shape the opening kilometres. Further south, the coast turns rougher. Around L’Ametlla de Mar and L’Ampolla, small coves, rock, and fishing harbours take over before the route brushes the Ebro Delta: rice fields, canals, flat light, and wind. Beyond Amposta, Valencia begins. Vinaròs and Peñíscola add harbour views, old-town streets and a castle skyline before the ride settles into Alcossebre.
