Day 1 leaves Berlin to the west: busy streets first, then Spandau, the Havel nearby and the open edge of the Havelland. Beyond Falkensee and Nauen, the stage turns flat and wide. Fields, tree-lined roads, pine sections and villages set the pace; Ribbeck sits close to the route, Rathenow later brings the Havel and brick town edges into view. After that, the road gets quieter again. The final kilometres run towards the Elbe and finish in the Tangermünde/Stendal area, with town walls, gates and river air replacing the capital.
