Day 2 starts by the Elbe near Tangermünde/Stendal and first crosses the Altmark: brick gates, villages, fields and long tree-lined roads. Beyond Gardelegen, the route feels emptier, skirting meadows and canals on the edge of the Drömling before heading via Weferlingen towards Helmstedt. The final third brings the Elm into the ride. Königslutter adds the imperial cathedral and timber-framed streets, then the road continues through Cremlingen to Braunschweig. After roughly 134 km, the stage ends by the Oker and the old centre of the Lion City.
