Leaving the river valley of Bosa, the route climbs directly into the volcanic hinterland. The road passes Tinnura, a village famed for its street murals, before a long descent opens into the vast Oristano plain. This flat agricultural lowland is defined by coastal wetlands and expansive fields.
Pace increases significantly along the flat middle section. The track leads through the rationalist-style town of Arborea and approaches the quiet fishing hamlet of Marceddì. Here, a narrow bridge crosses the open lagoon, flanked by flamingo colonies wading in the shallow water.
Beyond the marshlands, the terrain hits the rugged Costa Verde. A final climb over wind-swept roads leads to Torre dei Corsari, where massive golden sand dunes and an old Spanish watchtower mark the stage end.
