Day three is the Vosges stage of the loop. From Colmar, the route heads west through vineyards and wine villages before the road starts climbing properly above Turckheim. The ascent to Trois-Épis is the main effort of the day, gaining around 350 metres in one stretch and topping out just above 610 metres. It changes the view completely: the Alsatian plain below, the Rhine corridor ahead, and the Kaiserstuhl on the far side. After the high point, the route drops back into the lowlands and turns east. The second half is flatter and more open, shaped by fields, canals and long straight roads. Near Breisach, the Kaiserstuhl vineyards come into view, before the day ends at Kapuzinergarten above the Rhine.
