Day 2 leaves Ubud to the east and soon moves away from the town’s gallery-and-café belt. The road passes through Gianyar villages, temple entrances, small warungs and narrow local streets where the traffic feels practical rather than scenic. Toward Klungkung, the ride cuts through a busier part of everyday Bali: scooters, markets, school traffic and dark volcanic-stone walls. After Semarapura, the route starts working toward Sidemen. The landscape opens there, with rice terraces on the slopes, deep green valleys and, in clear weather, Mount Agung above the line of travel. The final section drops back down toward Karangasem. Just under 60 kilometres, with constant changes in pace and a much stronger sense of inland Bali.
