The young Danube sets the line for much of the day. After Donaueschingen, the route runs via Geisingen and Tuttlingen into the Upper Danube Valley, where the river feels wilder between limestone cliffs, wooded slopes and tight bends. Fridingen and Beuron bring monastery views, rock walls and classic Danube cycling scenery, before Sigmaringen adds its castle and old town. Beyond that, the route turns more Upper Swabian: quiet roads, fields, villages and rolling terrain towards Biberach.
