The Danube sets the line for this day. From Donauwörth, the route moves through flat floodplain country towards Tapfheim and Höchstädt, with fields, embankments and long, smooth-running stretches. Around Dillingen and Lauingen, the stage becomes more built-up: old-town streets, riverside sections, towers and short links through historic centres. After that, the Donauried opens again before Günzburg gives the day its next clear stop. The final kilometres pass Leipheim and the northern edge of Ulm, finishing with the Minster above the rooftops.
