After Alassio, the Riviera is not empty coastline; it is tightly packed. Albenga, Ceriale, Loano and Pietra Ligure come almost without gaps. The GPX stays close to the water, mostly below the Aurelia, with railway, promenades and rocky headlands beside the road. Around Finale Ligure and Varigotti, the coast sharpens; Noli adds old maritime stone and narrow streets. Then Spotorno, Vado and Savona bring ferries, docks and industry. Past Varazze, Cogoleto and Arenzano, the line opens again before Genova takes over with suburbs, cranes and harbour basins.
