The final stage begins with elevation, not coastline. Beyond Granada, the plain fades as the route moves through dry valleys, olive groves and small mountain villages towards Alhama de Granada. Around Zafarraya, the landscape turns rougher: limestone, ravines, steep slopes and long views towards the coast. A sustained descent then leads towards Vélez-Málaga and Torre del Mar. The last kilometres follow the Mediterranean into Málaga, ending with the harbour, old town and Alcazaba in view.
