Between Kazanlak and Plovdiv, Bulgaria softens into a broad southern rhythm. The route leaves the Rose Valley with the Central Balkan foothills still on the horizon and follows quiet roads towards Kalofer, where mountain views, open fields and national history sit close together. Farther southwest, villages, orchards and lowland roads lead into the Thracian Plain. Plovdiv gives the stage a rich finale: old-town lanes, Roman theatre, hillside views and a warm urban finish layered with centuries.
