The opening stage follows the Dalmatian coast out of Split, passing suburbs, beaches and early views towards Brač. Beyond Dugi Rat, the road narrows, the sea stays close, and at Omiš the Cetina gorge cuts sharply into the mountains. The route then reaches its strongest section: coastal road, limestone cliffs, pine trees, small coves and long views across the Adriatic. Around Brela and Baška Voda, the Biokovo massif rises steeply above the Makarska Riviera before the stage rolls via Makarska into Tučepi.
