The final day is not a ceremonial roll-in. Between Lüleburgaz and Çorlu, Thrace shows its plain side once more: fields, industrial edges, wide roads, short climbs. Only after Silivri does the Sea of Marmara start to matter. The route now works closer to the coast and into Istanbul’s outer belt, with Büyükçekmece as the clear marker before the city. The Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Bridge is the stop here: a 16th-century Sinan bridge, 636 m long, still the strongest structure on the lake. After that, Istanbul does not begin at a sign. It builds for kilometres: Beylikdüzü, Avcılar, Küçükçekmece, traffic, sea, apartment blocks. The finish enters the historic peninsula. Land walls, Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, Süleymaniye.
