One last sustained climb leads out of Meschede and into the Arnsberg Forest. Climbing through the woods above Eversberg, the route gains height and reaches ground above 500 metres near the Warsteiner Kopf. It then descends through woodland to Warstein. Suttrop, the Möhne valley and Meiste lead across to the Alme valley, where the landscape opens around Weine. In Büren, the Baroque Jesuit church rises above the riverside meadows. The route follows the Alme towards Brenken and Ahden before crossing open farmland near Oberntudorf. Beyond Wewer, fields gradually give way to Paderborn's streets. The journey ends near the Pader springs, where water rises among old buildings and green spaces below the cathedral, roughly 67 kilometres after leaving the wooded Sauerland hills.
