Broad fields line the way out of Panevėžys as the route heads through Piniava and Pumpėnai towards Pasvalys. Riverbanks and low town houses line the passage through Pasvalys before the road continues north through Namišiai. Scattered farms, rows of trees and drainage ditches divide the open agricultural landscape, with very little change in elevation. The crossing into Latvia brings a new country while the level farmland continues towards Uzvara. Bauska gives the final kilometres a different setting. The Mūsa appears beside the route, with the castle’s walls and towers above its bank. After crossing the river, the ride enters the old town and reaches the town hall. Low houses and the market square surround the finish of this approximately 83-kilometre stage.
