Trebnje starts the day with rollers rather than an easy flat exit. The route heads west through Dolenjska on small roads, past fields, woodland and villages set between the hills. Through Ivančna Gorica and Višnja Gora, the profile stays lively, with several climbs that look smaller on paper than they feel on the road. After that, the land opens towards Grosuplje. Near Škofljica, the route reaches the edge of the Ljubljana Marshes before the final kilometres enter the city from the south, finishing with the castle hill, the Ljubljanica and the old town.
