This stage cuts through a very Tuscan part of Italy. After Celle sul Rigo, small roads lead across open hills, fields and old pale-stone villages. Around Chiusi, the terrain becomes gentler before the route enters the Val di Chiana: broad farmland, cypress trees, olive groves and long views over soft ridgelines. Sinalunga and Lucignano bring medieval town centres close to the road. From there, rolling roads carry the route towards the Arno valley, finishing in Montevarchi between hills, railway lines and old-town streets.
